I love to travel!
But I don’t like the restrictions the airlines put on me, limiting the number of carry on bags I can bring. It’s not so much an issue on the plane, but when I get to my destination I need extra bags. Here’s why this little bag is a great addition to my travels. I believe many of you will agree with me.
Let’s talk about the beach. When I get to my hotel and unpack, the first place everyone wants to go is the beach. The sun, the surf, the people, and … the sand! I love the beach, but I hate getting sand all over my stuff! That’s where this bag comes in handy. It’s admittedly not the strongest, sturdiest backpack around, but I can put all my stuff inside and keep the sand off my iPhone, my watch, my sunscreen bottle, my towel and my extra shirt. Plus, when I run and jump in the surf, my stuff isn’t just lying on my beach towel for someone to grab and run off with. Or, where someone can walk up and accidentally step on and break my new iPhone X or my Carrera prescription glasses! Do I really want to spend my vacation getting fitted for a new pair of glasses? Or waiting in line at the local cell phone store? No!
Did I mention the kids? All they are thinking about is fun, fun, fun! They aren’t thinking about protecting their stuff, or keeping it all together so they don’t lose it. I don’t know about your family, but when it’s time to head back to the hotel, that’s when little things just get lost. I can hear it now: “Where are my swimming goggles? Where is my watch? Where did I put my sand toys?” Give each kid one of these bags, and – problem solved! Everything goes in the bag. Not heavy stuff, mind you. Don’t put a bowling ball in it, or you will rip the seams. They aren’t designed for heavy things, but lightweight stuff – just cram it in there! Again, who want’s their stuff just sitting out there for everyone to see? Stuff can walk away, if you get my meaning.
Imagine a similar scenario at the pool, the waterpark, the theme park, on a cruise. These backpacks are a great way to stay organized on family outings. They are light enough that I can pack 4 or 5 in my checked luggage, then pull them out at the hotel and pass them around to the whole family. No more excuses, no more kids losing stuff, no more missing out on excursions because we weren’t ready, no more time wasters. Plus I have a little extra room if I find a souvenir to bring home, or if I pick up some shells at the beach. If this bag gets sandy or dirty, I just empty it and give it a good rinse, and once more inside out. When I’m done with it, it folds up and zips away into it’s own built in storage pocket, ready for our next excursion.
Like I said, these aren’t the strongest, sturdiest bags out there. You can pay a lot more for a rugged bag. Don’t buy this one if that’s what you’re looking for. But, for the problems these bags solve, I love them, and I know you will too.
Now for some facts and details about the bag.
The two zippered compartments keep your belongings safe on your tour bus, and while you explore museums and restaurants. Enjoy a casual stroll through a bustling shopping district, or on a quiet greenway.
Two mesh side pockets are great for a water bottle or sunscreen. The rip-stop nylon is water-resistant, and the shoulder straps have breathable mesh for better air circulation.
Note: This bag is intended for light occasional use. Do not use to carry heavy items. And, in case you are wondering, the water bottle and other accessories are not included. (My daughter and grandson are featured in some of the photos, and they aren’t included either!)
